More Broadway Theatre Updates....

I recently took the L.A. Conservancy's Broadway Theatre Tour and got a chance to snap a few interior photos that are now on the updated Million Dollar Theatre page. This one here looking across the main floor you can click on to enlarge.

It wasn't part of the tour but I was lucky enough to get into the Palace Theatre the same week. Check out that updated page for lots of new interior shots.

The theatre was delightfully clean and in wonderful condition. The owners want a commitment from the city for added parking (preferably a new garage) before sprucing the place up and reopening. With the current budget woes, it looks like all plans are on hold.

Also part of my recent Broadway wanderings was a search for surviving buildings that had once been theatres. If you peruse the Broadway Theatres page you'll see new photos of the Cozy Theatre (320 S. Broadway), the Eden Musee (Bumiller Bldg., 430 S. Broadway), the Palace of Pictures (Forrester Bldg., 642 S. Broadway),  the other Palace of Pictures (318 W. 7th St.) and the Shell Theatre (547 S. Broadway).
