Postcards of the Metropolitan

That's plural? Well, I don't know. I've only seen one postcard view of Grauman's Metropolitan, later known as the Paramount.

And that one card only recently surfaced because theatre postcard connoisseur Cezar Del Valle added it to his collection. Click on it to go to a full size version on his Flickr pages.

And do visit our Metropolitan Theatre page for other views of this lamentably lost treasure. Opened in 1923, it was gargantuan -- 3600 seats.

And send me a link if you've seen any other cards of the Met!
