The Shrine Auditorium

You'd think I would have had a page up on the Shrine long ago. It's only the largest historic theatre in the country.

Its 6,308 seats makes the Radio City Music Hall look a bit small. The view here is one I took in 2010.

The Shrine Auditorium interior is by G. Albert Lansburgh, who had another opening in 1926 at the Orpheum. He also did the auditoriums (but not the buildings) for the El Capitan and the Wiltern.

Anyway, it's finally up. Check out the Shrine Auditorium page for some fine vintage photos.
