Strolling By The Egyptian in 1951

If you've been prowling the archives of the Facebook page Vintage Los Angeles you've probably come to the conclusion that the crowd posting images is undeniably Hollywood oriented. Just one lovely view after another from various collections.

Here we're looking at a photo added by Alison Martino, the founder of Vintage Los Angeles. It's 1951 and the place is all lit up for "The Great Caruso." Click on the photo for a full view.

Many other items have been added to the page recently including a forecourt postcard from Cezar Del Valle, two other Vintage Los Angeles photos, and a look at the 1946 premiere of "Till The Clouds Roll By" from the site "Remapping Hollywould."

Come for the full tour on the page for the Egyptian Theatre! A bonus: I just added an early tinted postcard view of the usherettes in the forecourt at the Egyptian.
