The Cameo - 1967

This 1967 look at the Cameo, 528 S. Broadway, comes from "Theatres in Los Angeles," a 2008 Arcadia Publishing book by Suzanne Tarbell Cooper, Amy Ronnebeck Hall and Marc Wanamaker. Most of the rare photos in the book are from Mr. Wanamaker's Bison Archives.

Most of the downtown chapter of the book is available for a preview on Google Books. You'll find this cameo shot on page 22.  See our Cameo Theatre web page for additional photos of the theatre both inside and out.  Now used for retail in the lobby and storage in the auditorium, the Cameo has been on Broadway since 1910.
