W.P.A. at the Mayan

The Mayan kept busy in the 30s with Federal Theatre productions as part of the W.P.A. program.

Ken McIntyre found this interesting ad from the period which also includes the W.P.A. productions at the Hollywood Playhouse (now the Avalon) and the Mason Theatre (now demolished.

Click on it for a larger view or see Ken's post of the ad on Photos of Los Angeles.

Our main Mayan Theatre page also has links to some W.P.A. production posters at the theatre, along with many photos.
