Opened: August 14, 1964 with Dirk Bogarde in "The Servant" along with "The Millionairess" starring Peter Sellers and Sophia Loren. It was in a shopping center on the northeast corner of Ventura Blvd. and Topanga Canyon Blvd. The Valley Times photo by Jeff Robbins is in the Los Angeles Public Library collection. It appeared on January 30, 1964 with this caption:

"Veteran theater manager Al Sachs proudly displays the new marquee of the motion picture theater he, Samuel Stieffel and Erwin Weiss are putting into the new Woodland Hills shopping center at Ventura and Topanga Canyon boulevards. Sachs, who will act as general manager of the Art Theatre, said the new house will feature 'imported films and domestic pictures of exceptional merit, as well as special approved junior matiness for Saturdays and non-school periods.'"

Closing: It was running until July 1982.

Status: The theatre space is now used for retail.
