To get a bit more height for the VistaVision presentation of Paul Thomas Anderson's "One Battle After Another" Warner Bros. installed a new screen in front of the existing one. The Vista was one of only four theatres worldwide to run the film in 8 perf. Photo: Bill Counter - September 24, 2025

The crowd dribbling in for a sold-out 10:55 pm show of "One Battle After Another" on the first day of the run. An 8 perf horizontal projector and a special platter system were used for the engagement. See the Horizontal VistaVision in L.A. page for more information. The VV machine is behind the large port on the left. Two Norelco AAIIs are in the center. A never-used digital machine is behind the large port on the right. Photo: Bill Counter - September 24, 2025

A look to the booth before a screening of "One Battle After Another." Thanks to Extravagant Behavior for sharing this photo, and a dozen more, in an October 2025 Facebook post about his visit. The Ballantyne VistaVision projector was in the far left port, the two Norelco AAIIs in the center, the theatre's Sony digital projector behind the far right port.
