Opened: Unknown. It was running in 1895, a venue that was part of Bartlett's Music House. It would have been on the west side of the street, just north of 1st.
An 1895 ad for Bartlett's Music Hall. Thanks to Ken McIntyre for locating it.
More information: There isn't any yet about this N. Spring location. They moved a lot it seems:
This item appeared in the L.A. Evening Express in 1919. Thanks to Ken McIntyre for locating it for a post on the Photos of Los Angeles Facebook page. The photo was taken c.1896 when they had moved to 233 S. Spring St., in the Lyceum Hall building, next door to the Los Angeles/Lyceum Theatre. The antlers? Well, it was an Elks lodge at the time. The text dates from 1919 when the photo was republished.
