Opened: This first of two theatres called the La Salle was running in 1914. It was on the north side of the street two blocks east of Normandie. Opening date is unknown.
The theatre made an appearance in a March 16, 1914 directory ad. See the full ad down lower. Perhaps this was just a temporary storefront location until the real theatre got built. This one with the 1625 address doesn't show up in any city directory.
Closing: Later in 1914 it was replaced by a newer theatre, also called the La Salle, at 1898 W. Adams. That's 6 1/2 blocks west of this location, and actually near La Salle Ave. That one was later renamed the Adams Theatre.
Status: The site of this first La Salle Theatre is now a parking lot.

More information: Well, at the moment there isn't any about this location for the La Salle.
