Nadeau Theatre

1919 Nadeau St. Los Angeles, CA 90001 | map |

Opened: Perhaps 1926. Joe Vogel notes that it's in the 1926 L.A. city directory, where it was listed with a 1917 E. Nadeau St. address.

It was on the north side of the street three blocks west of Alameda St. The location is in the Florence-Graham neighborhood, just west of Walnut Park.

The theatre was listed in the 1932 Watts city directory with an address of 1919 Nadeau.

Seating: 476, according to Cinema Treasures.

Closing: It was running at least until 1952.

Status: It's been demolished. The site is now an empty lot.

More information: See the Cinema Treasures page on the Nadeau. But at the moment nothing more has surfaced.
