2211 N. Broadway Lincoln Heights (Los Angeles), CA 90031 | map |
Opening: It was running in 1913. It's in the city directory that year. The location was on the north side of the street between Avenue 22 and Avenue 24.
A listing for the theatre in a 1914 directory ad. Thanks to Jeff Bridges for posting the full ad on Flickr.
Closing: Perhaps 1914 was the end of it. The Federal isn't in the 1915 or 1916 city directories.
Status: Unknown. The City's Zimas database doesn't have a construction date listed for the building at the site.
It's an interesting looking block. We're looking north with Avenue 22 just out of the frame beyond the domed building on the left. That gray thing is at 2211 N. Broadway. Photo: Google Maps - 2019
