Highland Park Theatre

5630 N. Figueroa St. Highland Park (Los Angeles), CA 90042 | map |

Opened: It was listed in the 1913 and 1914 city directories with an address of 5630 Pasadena Ave. The street was later renamed N. Figueroa. The location is on the east side of the street a few storefronts south of Avenue 57. The 1925 vintage Highland Theatre is farther south on the same block.

Closing: The date is unknown. It may not have lasted long. The theatre doesn't appear in the 1915 or 1916 city directories.

The address today is a storefront up the block from the Highland Theatre. 5630 is the first brick storefront on the left. The building now on the site evidently dates from 1922. We're looking south toward Avenue 56. Photo: Google Maps - 2014

More information: Sorry, there isn't any.
