Opening: This 1,200 car drive-in opened July 6, 1955 with Howard Hawk's "Land of the Pharaohs" along with "Seven Angry Men." Plus Donald Duck in person! The site is just north of the 405. Thanks to Bill Gabel for locating the 1955 photo.

Thanks to Mike Rivest for locating the opening ad.

It was later advertised as being at the Long Beach Freeway at Santa Fe Ave. Aladdin Theatres and Berman Bros. were the initial operators. Later Pacific Theatres had it.

Closing: December 16, 1979. Thanks to Ken McIntyre for the research.

Status: It was demolished in 1980 and replaced by a business park. A current address for the site is 1665 Hughes Way.
