January 1909  The program for Rose Melville in "Sis Hopkins," described as a "Picturesque Pastoral Play" that was evidently written by the star. Thanks to David Klappholz for sharing the program from his collection.

February 1909  A program for the comedy "Who's Your Friend?" by Harry and Edward Paulton. Harry Beresford was the star. Thanks to Davis Klappholz for sharing this from his collection.

January 1910  The program for Charles B. Hanford and Marie Drofnah in "The American Lord," a play by George H, Broadhurst and Charles T. Dazey. This is from the collection of David Klappholz.

April 1910  Henry Woodruff appeared in "The Prince of To-Night," a musical by Haugh and Adams with music by Joseph E. Howard. This program is from the David Klappholz collection.

June 1910  The program for "An American Widow" from the Danni Bayles-Yeager collection. Virginia Harned was the star. The play was written by Kellett Chambers. The L.A. Times notes that when it was on Broadway it was a crash rather than a hit.

Thanks to Danni for sharing the program. Visit the Bayles-Yeager Online Archives of the Performing Arts for many other items from her collection. Her page about "An American Widow" also has an ad for the show, a Times review of the show and a photo of Ms. Harned. Also see Danni's page about the Majestic.

The pages of these 1909 and 1910 programs were smaller than the ones we usually see: 5" x 6 3/4"

March 1924  The program for "Captain Applejack" starring Wallace Eddinger. It's from the Danni Bayles-Yeager collection.

Thanks to Danni for sharing the program. See her page about "Captain Applejack" for an ad as well as a review of the show from the LA Evening Express. At the time of this production the theatre was still under Thomas Wilkes' management. Danni notees that the program pages were 5 3/4" x 8".

1926  A program for an unidentified production:

The cover of a 1926 program that was located by Ken McIntyre for a post on the America in the 1920s Facebook group. It's the same illustration used earlier but at the bottom at this time it said "Western Majestic Theatres, Inc. Michael Corper, President." Other staff listed in the program were William Trumbull as treasurer, Irving Hallman as assistant treasurer, Joe Davis as press rep and William Raffn as musical director.

An ad for Barker Bros. "Hall of Hospitality" from the 1926 program. See murky scans of four additional pages: theatre staff | ad for Southwest Motors | ad for Kinsey and Elliott Jewelers | ad for Cafe Lafayette |

February 1928  The program for "Hit the Deck" from the Ronald W. Mahan Collection.

Thanks, Ron!
