"Eye-Apeeling" Evelyn Myers appearing in 1938. Thanks to Ken McIntyre for locating the ad. Also see an Evelyn Myers news item.

 

"Only the Burbank has the burlesque stars!" It's a December 23, 1944 L.A. Daily News ad for Lana Barri, not to be confused with the film star Lynn Bari. This one was located by Ken McIntyre for a post on the private Facebook group Photos of Los Angeles.



A 1945 ad for "The Amazon Yolanda" at the what they were then calling the Burbank Burlesque Theatre. Ken McIntyre found it for a post on the page for the Facebook group Photos of Los Angeles.
 
 

"Tittilating Cheek Blushing Laffs." A 1945 ad for Lana Barri, "The Red Headed Flame Dancer," and Dixie Sullivan, "Miss Glamour of 1944." Thanks to Scott Pitzer for sharing this one with the Photos of Los Angeles Facebook group. 
 
 

In 1945 Cold War burlesque at the Burbank featured "Atom Bomb Dancers" as part of the cast of 60. Thanks to Ken McIntyre for locating this November ad. Also see a similar ad for these two stars that Noirish Los Angeles contributor Ethereal Reality included in his Noirish post #967.



A 1953 ad featuring Patti Waggin, "The Co-ed With the Educated Torso," as the feature. Thanks to Ken McIntyre for the find, added as a comment, with many other Burbank items, to a post of his for the Photos of Los Angeles private Facebook group. Also see another Patti Waggin ad. Larry Harnisch, in a 2007 post on his L.A. Times blog The Daily Mirror that was mostly about the Wonderland Theatre (later called the Jade), gives us this nice 1957 ad for Suey Sin, "China's Foremost Stripteuse."
