Glendale Marketplace 4

Opened: June 5, 1998 as the Mann Glendale Marketplace 4. The theatres were on the east side of Brand Blvd., a half block south of Broadway. The street level boxoffice is seen on the left in the photo. The auditoria were upstairs. Photo: Bill Counter - 2007

The location is a block south of the Exchange complex with the Studio Movie Grill and across the street from the Americana at Brand shopping mall, home of the Pacific Glendale 18.

Mann Theatres closed the complex in October 2011. The owners of the chain, a joint venture of Paramount and Warner Bros., were winding down the business and selling off leases or closing complexes as the leases expired. The Marketplace 4 was reopened in February 2012 by Galaxy Theatres as the Galaxy Glendale Marketplace.

Closed: It closed for good at the end of July 2014.

Status: The theatre space has been remodeled to become an L.A. Fitness location.

  1. This was the place to be, while waiting for your showtime spending countless hours downstairs at TOWER RECORDS or the indie used CD shop next door Music Exchange. And i remember ther was an Irish themed restaurant next to the MANN. Good times.
